Flexible Spending Accounts are a way to build up funds to pay for uninsured medical expense. Through convenient payroll deductions, you can elect a monthly amount to be placed in a Flexible Spending Account that you can use for you or your families needs. Payroll deductions are taken on a tax free basis and there is no taxation on the funds when you use them.

A health savings account (also known as an HSA) is a tax-advantaged bank account you can open when you are enrolled in a qualified HDHP. The HSA provides a way to save for current and future health care expenses – with tax advantages along the way.

The MASA Medical Transport Service plan provides access to vital emergency medical transportation for a low monthly cost.

Hawley ISD offers two Dental plans through Ameritas. The plans cover preventive, basic, and major dental care services. Also covers orthodontic treatment for dependent children. The annual calendar deductible is $50 for individual. These plans gives you the freedom to choose whether you would like to visit a participating dentist. There are considerable cost savings when using a dentist who is in the Ameritas Network.

Hawley ISD offers one Vision plan through Ameritas. You are allotted one exam, one set of lenses or one set of contact lenses every 12 months, and new frames every 24 months. This plan boasts both in network and out of network benefits. In network benefits include an allowance of up to $150 for frames or contact lenses in lieu of glasses.

Life insurance coverage is designed to help provide financial support and stability to your family should you pass away. Hawley ISD provides employees with Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance (coverage is based on class category). This coverage through OneAmerica is at no charge to you and is active for the duration of your employment.

Accident Insurance provides additional coverage to help cover medical expenses and living costs when you get hurt. All funds from the policy are paid directly to you to use however you see fit.

This plan offers flexible, comprehensive benefits and enables you to adjust your death benefit, cash value, and premiums as your financial needs change.

OneAmerica’s Group Educator Disability Insurance is designed to maximize flexibility and simplicity. This insurance can pay you a weekly benefit if you have a covered disability that keeps you from working. As long as you remain disabled, you can continue to receive benefits. You have a choice of coverage amounts and benefit durations.
